Jørgen Høvelskov

Furniture designer Jørgen Høvelskov is known for the string chair, Harp Chair (also known as The Viking Chair), from 1963, which the Museum acquired in 2007 along with Høvelskov’s archive of drawings. In the autumn of 2008 Jørgen Christensen’s cabinetmakers will be launching a series of string furniture designed by Høvelskov in the 1960s. The exhibition illustrates Høvelskov’s design process in connection with the design of this furniture.
